I think it would be funnier if someone put you in the bin.

I saw a report on the news yesterday about dozens of animals (cats, ferrets, chickens) being put in plastic bags and thrown into a river alive... I think this cat-in-a-bin kind of pales in comparison...

Well yes, but the fact is there's a video of this particular woman doing the deed. If there was a video of the animals being thrown in a river I'd expect the same sort of reaction. It's not a case of 'worse **** happens'.

Definitely gone global - was on our national news tonight..
what really shows what sort of person she is is that she was stroking it while looking around to see if anyone was watching, then grabbing it by the tail and chucking it in... picture is good enough to identify her and as she's probably a local...

Begs the question of why a camera was trained on the rubbish bins, though?

She has been found, She is currently under the protection by police because of the fact she is being hunted,

She was found by the RSPCA and reported to police where they offered her protection. I'm unsure if she was charged, but according to the news article I read, they made her sound innocent by using "calmly placed the cat in the bin so it could be easily found".

To bad in the video it doesn't show any type of calm actions besides the patting at the beginning.

A small bin would add to the humour I fear as I try and get out of it without using my arms.

What I love is the comments from the West Midlands police

"Coventry police have not arrested the woman because she has not committed a criminal offence," the force said.

They said they were supporting the RSPCA investigation and urged the public to leave the matter to the authorities. Yes please leave this matter to the authorities as we are busy doing nothing about the issue.

Im sorry but i fail at seeing this as something terrible.
people shoot rodents all the time and nobody´s crying or hunting down people for it.
Cat´s aren´t any better, actually i believe seeing statistics somewhere on how bad cats (and their overpopulation due to human holding) are for the circulating animal population around them.

Funny I just stumbled upon this article and thought I'd find it here on FM again...

What made me laugh most was the "serious face" the tv presenter put on... reporting about cats being thrown into bins in coventry. Priceless.

And you know this how ?
Free running cats are a burden to wildlife, and they´re pesky, obnoxious creatures.
If you want a cat, keep it indoors. Ohh wait that´s not very animal friendly, I know,
Don´t get a ****ing cat ?!

+1 for the lady

Don't be such a tool, that's clearly not a feral cat. It's a pet that's perfectly entitled to wander about as it likes.

Bitch.

If she tried picking up my cat like that she would be down the A&E with lion like scratches needed plenty of stitches.
