Default Water Stories from Tonight's Weather
We've got 2-3 inches of standing water across 75% of the factory tonight. This storm has been pretty wicked. Heard word of a sinkhole on the east side.

I know we've got quite a few guys out in the sticks, let the stories rain in (teehee :P )

Well, I've never gotten scared over a storm before, and i was scared shitless tonight. My sister called me and told me there was a tornado spotted in pine bluff, half mile as the crow fries from me. So i got on the internet to see what was up, my Dish was out, because of the rain, as i'm on the internet my power goes out!! YAY!! well i have a laptop so that still works, but no more internet because no power.......call my parents house, noone, call my dads cell, noone........thats really odd. Finally i get my mom on her cell. There at a friends house and there tv is out too. so i got nothing telling me what is going on. Needless to say i was a little freaked. Well i guess there was a touched down twister in pine bluff. I'm still in one piece though

Crazy shit. I figured it was probably pretty gnarly out by you. We had GEYSERS shooting 8-10 ft out of sewer drains IN THE PLANT. Happy to say I got 2 hours of DOUBLE time for sitting in an office because of the Tornado warnings. FTMFW!

I hope any other stories we get involve a safe conclusion, as well!

Been watching the weather mostly by you guys wow!! 9 tornado's!! In parts we have some flooding most of a small town Bear Creek was flooded and places in Appleton got hit pretty hard but my dinky town the only excitement/scaryness is some short lived outage through most of the town. My park next to me is close to be known as Miller Lake instead of Miller park. As long as my huge Willow tree holds up we're and my neighbor's are A-OK.
Stay safe!!

I tried going to the store after the first wave that came through. I was driving through the park by my house where the Milwaukee river flows through. I was looking out the window at the waterfall and when I looked forward, there was 30-40 feet of standing water all the way across the street. I slammed on the brakes and cranked the wheel left into a parking lot to avoid it. It must have jerked something, because the illumination on my temp gauge completely went out. It's not a disaster story, but it's going to drive me crazy until I fix it.

I was driving through all the storms across the upper midwest. We would leave one cell and drive right into another one.
Nothing like going from 80mph down to 10 mph in a 6000lb truck as everyone slams on their brakes hitting the rain wall.
I did keep track and the storms were heavy back home and I followed a whole line of them right to our destination, made terrible time but got here safe, kinda (see other post I made)

Just out of curiousity, have you questioned water damage at all? I certainly hope it isn't electrical. You are in my thoughts. lol Good luck with everything. Nature is such a sweet and sour bitch. We love her cause she's so pretty, then WHAM....your basement's fucked. lmao

After getting home from work I found out that my home was fine, but all my neighbors got flooded. (Townhouse) Shitastic...but mes needs to sleep. Take her easy, good luck again Slyder.

Nothing really exciting here. Just a shit ton of rain and lightning. My garage is the lower basement level, (so theres the basement, and my garage is under that) but luckily relative to a 10 block radius I'm elevated so we just got like 1" of water in there.

Drove through the microburst that came through franklin, could see 10ft in front of my ambulance..fucking sweet. Both my partner and I were laughing the whole time because we knew at any second we could be picked up and chucked into a river. It was fun yesterday seeing as I have no flood damage to clean up. Some of my friends were not so lucky of course.

Ouch. Doesn't that involve an entire rebuild?

Only if a conrod or valve is bent. Otherwise just plugs, oil change, and getting all the water out.

changed plugs, cleared cylinders with air, shot 180 psi of water through boost leak tester to clear intercooler and oil change. valves are a little loud but doing another oil change next friday and gonna try a few things if it doesnt just go away. think my downstream o2 and wideband o2 are shot and my power steering belt came off and now makes noise so gotta change that too. car seems okay and even boosted 19psi again today. for thoughs laughing etc. my girlfriend is preggie and due 8-4 and after seeing every road closed to south milwaukee i couldnt keep just driving around. all in all it could be worse. my buddy locked his sti on 73rd and lisbon
