Thats pretty lame really, what about people like my self who have lost family members on Christmas and other worse stuff? It's the worse time of year for my family not because of money but because of the loses.

Crimbo don't need to be about money and I don't feel sorry for people who can't afford to get crap loads of presents, as long as your there for your family when they need it that's what's important. There's people in the world going through much worse then not being able to spoil ya children with presents on crimbo.

I feel no pity for her.

She borrowed money and then couldn't pay back her debts, another sob story caused by her own doing. Beyond that, she is simply indulging into materialism (or lack thereof) as an attempt to garner pity from others.

The whole article is written as if she is the worst person off in the world and she actually deserves more. I call BS.

This is the Daily Mail, coming from any other source and I'd agree but I am inclined to believe it's 100% truth.... although while reading I was starting to think "They CANT be serious!"

Christmas is about being with family, with presents it is the thought that counts not the amount of money you spend. I have no pity at all, she lived the high life and made some fatal mistakes and is now paying for it. When she was successful and shopping in Harrods I bet she did not give a damn about the ones on the lower end of the scale.

No, it was caused by her own stupidity being "poor" and to be honest, its about family not gifts.

I am surprised how sophisiticated this article is for the Daily Mail.

It is essentially saiyng bad rich people, but in a very clever way. Which makes it potentially too good to be true.

So she overspent, made bad decisions, and lost her ass because of it ?

Good for her. Hope she enjoys her christmas.

would have thought nothing of spending £45 on a pot of gold-lidded lusciously scented body cream as a Christmas present for a distant cousin. I wonder what she spent on herself or children [surrender]

Instead....how about we have some sympathy for our armed forces currently residing in military hospitals over the Christmas holidays... rather than some poor sob story of over-indulgence........ who don't even earn as much as her...

oh i dont think she will, i didnt read the whole article, i just skipped down and read certain parts but the jist i got was that she wants to cancel christmas this year so as to not disappoint her children by not spoiling them and to not appear mean in front of everyone else by not splashing out on niece's and nephews.

poor, poor, woman, its sad to hear how those with money for christmas will have a hard time getting through it.

im sure the other households affected by an income decrease feel for her and her family in these difficult times, as their income decrease plummets along with the temperatures, to place them well below the poverty line and at real risk this holiday season. but hey on the bright side their families and friends wont think their just being mean with the prezzies

Zero pity. As a person who grew up watching a single immigrant mother working her ass off doing 2 jobs to just keep her children fed and sheltered, this woman has no clue what "woe" is. Christmas is nothing about gifts. iPad for Christmas for a 15 year old? 50 pounds only? You gotta be kidding me...

I feel bad for the people who, literally, cannot afford to put food on the table. I don't feel bad one bit for her. She can't afford to blow huge amounts of money to spoil her kids and relatives, and I'm supposed to feel sorry for her? Screw her. She doesn't even know what tough times are.

Honestly, her kids will probably be better off if they aren't given the world. They *might* learn to appreciate what they have if they actually have to work for what they need and want. Of course with kids these days, that's getting more and more difficult since all of their friends are spoiled brats who have no idea what it means to actually have to work. [thumbdown]

Sorry, I didn't phrase my sentence properly. What I meant was "I hope the selfish bitch enjoys the sub-par christmas she dug for herself through terrible financial planning."

What a tard, I don't feel sorry for her at all.

1) She makes more than me still

2) That's not what Christmas is about
