Hope everything goes smoothly!

Question: how do the lenses cope with presbyopia?

The post-op eye patch. Not nearly as pirate-y as I'd expected.
But definitely a bit on the Borg-ish side!

Presbyopia is the condition in which the lens of the eye loses its ability to focus, typically making it difficult to see objects up close, especially in poor lighting. It's caused (generally) by a loss of elasticity of the lens and loss of muscle function within the eye -- making it take longer to focus, having to hold reading materials further away, etc. Typically happens to middle-agers. In fact, the word basically means "old man eyes" in its Greek roots.

Dude! I have one in my left eye, but they seem to think that mine can be controled with diet and exercise. So was it very painful? Cause frankly it scares the beeejeeeeesus out of me.

20/20, baby!
I'm told that's an unusually good result after just 24 hours.

Can't wait to get the other eye done...

You never really know... they quote you the percentages, and as a war gamers, 99% means that you lose one out of 100 times. While that's fine in a war game, it kind of sucks when it's something more important. You never really know what's going to happen.

Congrats. See you on Thursday night.

The other key difference is, you only do ithis once -- only have to make on saving throw, so to speak.

Whereas in Civ, I KNOW I'll be in over 100 battles tonight, so my odds of losing at least one where I'm in the high 90s is actually a near certainty.

What time are we playing tonight?

Had the left eye done this morning. Tomorrow morning is the Big Reveal.

In the meantime, I'm sporting my Borg look again.

How about seeing the individual leaves on trees. I remember that from when I first got specs. And blades of grass.
