ok, since the point is to get rid of the guys who turned USA into the #1 superpower in the world it is now, our next target is clinton http://www.discussworldissues.com/im...ons/icon14.gif

seriously guys, this is partisan hackery on ridiculous levels. take a look at how USA was doing in 1981, then take a look at it in 1989. can anyone honestly say it was worse off in 1989?

reagan changed the trajectory of America, he turned it from slow (and inevitable-looking, google carter's malaise speech to have a feeling of the zeitgeist, 90%+ thought that the future would be worse) decline into a new renaissance of prosperity

big http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ons/icon13.gif for anyone who thought reagan was the 2nd worse president for America and downvoted him.
I love how you think you know anything about the subject.

He deserves it for Reagonomics alone. Massive increase on public debt. He tripled the national debt in his tenure. A recession started in his 2nd year in office.
Also:
The job growth under the Reagan administration was an average of 2.1% per year, which is in the middle of the pack of twentieth-century Presidents.[citation needed] Comparing the recovery from the 1981-82 recession (1983-1990) with the years between 1971 (end of a recession) and 1980 shows that the rate of growth of real GDP per capita averaged 2.77 under Reagan and 2.50% under Nixon, Ford and Carter. However, the unemployment rate averaged higher under Reagan (6.75% vs. 6.35%), average productivity growth was slower under Reagan (1.38% vs. 1.92%) and private investment as a percentage of GDP also averaged lower under Reagan (16.08% vs. 16.86%). Furthermore, real wages declined during the Reagan Presidency.[37] What makes this comparison so significant is that between 1971 and 1980 the economy suffered a severe recession in 1975 whereas during the Reagan recovery there was no such interruption.[38]

No, Kennedy is 5. It's just that Jon Miller didn't delete the previous pluses and minuses, nor the colors that Ozzy used.

Most of us weren't around to care about Hoover or Harding.

Hedkffiz 01-21-2010 06:13 PM

Yeah, I was around when Reagan was ****ing **** up

Rinkeliacasse 01-21-2010 06:15 PM

We had been receiving those types of warnings prior to his taking office and I have no doubt that Clinton still being in office wouldn't have made a different, but yeah, maybe not the best example.

PheliarearY 01-21-2010 06:36 PM

Yeah, kind of like the next generation fans in the star trek one.

I'm also surprised how much Reagan hate there is. And Carter hate for that matter.
I'm still angry that DS9 lost so early in the ST thing, so I direct my rage against Reagan http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...milies/nod.gif
