Default Do i take the plunge? (intel 160gb SSD)
Going to be selling off the desktop and putting some cash into the laptop instead.

The 40gb drive I have is nice but a bit too small.

I think really even 80gb would be too small so there are a couple of options.

Do I get a 120gb drive from someone else? Or is it really worth it to splash out on the 160gb intel G2?

As long as you can fit the OS and apps on the SSD why not keep everything else on an external drive?

Another option might be to get an SSD that fits inside the express card slot. You can then install your programs/OS on that and everything else on the internal HD.

Although don't think you can boot directly off all of them. Windows might be different, but there are reports you can't boot Mac OS off the Verbatim ones.

That is an option but if you look at the price/performance per GB I am better selling my drive and getting a larger internal one.
