Yeah, the fact that the earthquake destroyed the prisons and let the worst people out and that they are running amok means the innocent people should be nuked ofc [rolleyes]

ah so you agree too

that country has had a history of corruption mate, and will continue to be corrupt even through this disaster.

shame the Innocents, still suffer at the hands of corruption even during this disaster.

I'm not racists, and this is probably a sweeping stereotypical statement, but why are pretty much all nations of African Origin corrupt.

Just an observation [no]

or are we to blame the Americans, french and Spanish/Portuguese for this ?

If looting has been ongoing since the ****ing earthquake, why have they not started employing security. Violent thugs will and do exist everywhere, the real problem here is that no-one has been competent enough at their job to see what would happen in this situation before it happened.

I think the scale of it is a lot to cope with.

I'm not surprised it happens though. People must be pretty pissed loosing everything including their homes.

Mind you, after about 8 aftershocks I can't find my home either.

No he doesn't.

I'm not racists, and this is probably a sweeping stereotypical statement, but why are pretty much all nations of African Origin corrupt. And corruption doesn't exist in any other country? Singular incidents of gangs of people becoming violent during times of extreme emergencies don't happen in, say, America or Europe?

Exactly. On a much lower level, in 1996 I was in Manchester when the bomb went off, and for the most part everyone was checking that everyone else was ok and there was an amazing community spirit, but there were opportunist thieves taking all and sundry from frontless shops where the glass had been shattered by pressure waves. Transit vans had even turned up to empty TV shops within 30 minutes of the blast.

Unfortunately, greed and selfishness are inherently human traits.

I'd like to know what you do in the RAF OHP? I seem to recall you were a helicopter sparky, but I could be wrong.

Mate its really sad and unfortunate you think that way...I would imagine the ******** gang members total less than 1% of the total population. You think the remaining 99% deserve to be nuked?

Did you think the same way about New Orleans after the hurricane hit?

nah its just one of my shock threads mate.

my true opinion is that they do need help, but this gang problem thats evolving and the fact that the aid depots are not guarded well enough is undermining the relied effort

There are already a couple of thousand UN and US troops in Haiti. You would think they could relocate 500 or so troops to guard and police the aid depots.

It truly is hell like conditions there. People are left with nothing and then when hope in the form of aid comes, groups of gangs decide that only they deserve to get any help. I would like to say they should be shot on sight, but then its hard to imagine the conditions they are in and how the mind can switch into survival mode whereby it truly is survival of the fittest/selfish.
