All I can say is wow. [surrender]

They should use NIN in every trailer. [shocked]

Looks good. Altho the terminator series doesn't make much sense. If you can time travel why not just kill him before he's born?

Anyways, that looks awful imo.

I hope this makes it to Imax. I'd pony up the $20 for that.

I do believe they tried that. (The first one)
Time travel in itself has too many holes to make much sense, though.

I'm really looking forward to this, that trailer looks awesome! No, it's unlikely to be a Cameronesque classic but it looks like it will be satisfying a lot of peoples hopes (including mine) of showing future-war settings of humans vs. endos using the advantages of todays CGI. We also have the ideal actor for playing a grown-up John Connor. At least i want have to rely on the ending of T1 for some decent human vs endo one on one action anymore! [thumbup]

Maybe because it's been programmed to think it's human?

Early screenings have shown very positive. And lets face it, the guy has a lot to live up to, and I wouldn't expect someone like Bale to sign on if he didn't believe in it. Plus the trailer was badass.

Looks pretty good, I guess we will have to see where they want to take the series...It has already been talked about that this new Terminator is suppose to be a trilogy.

I guess Bale could help taking the series back the way its suppose to be..but I mean are we really doomed to keep watching the same stuff... Come on Hollywood were are the original ideas.. Let see some totally new stuff that will blow our minds away

I'm aware that they already did the time travel thing, but they did a piss poor job of it. Why not send back the badass chick from the second movie. Hell, why not just kill his grandfather or something?

I bet they're the reason dinosaurs became extinct.

There wasn't any "bad ass chick" in the second movie, she was in the third.

The one thing I don't get with the Terminator series is why all the emphasis on eliminating John Connor? Surely if it wasn't him leading the resistance it'd just be someone else?

That would be the 3rd movie

The Terminator series either flirts with the Grandfather Paradox, or blithely ignores it. You'd have to find out what the writers are thinking to decide which.

I wouldn't know if that director is good or not but the "master terminator" maybe came up with the idea that if the terminator he sends will think they are human it will make so much better as a spy.

Have you seen Cameron in the series? She is NOT human at all, her movements is so lame..[thumbdown]

Anyway, quite decent trailer but only reason this will make it as a movie is because of Christian Bale.

The Terminators didn't invent Time Travel, humans did. They have to infiltrate the resistance's base in order to use their machine, so it's not like they can send an infinite amount of them back through time. You also have to keep in mind that these killers are machines, and therefore only use a linear thought process and do not think like humans. If you remember from the movies, the Terminators are "programmed," and therefore are set out to do a singular mission. I would imagine after "Judgement Day," a lot of history was destroyed due to nuclear fallout, so I can't imagine there would be a plethora of archived information on Connor's genealogy.

I can't believe how well TDTWWA actually fit into that trailer. Not a song I would have expected to hear combined to any movie trailer footage.

I was very surprised as well. Nice link too, lots of good info in regards to the Terminator canon. [yes]
