So basically, the story is that Steve was banned for some small mistake that he made. According to him when I asked on msn, he was banned for outing a troll. Maybe this isn't the story, maybe he was lying. But I honestly don't know, and I really want the guy back regardless. I know the guy pretty well, and I know he wouldn't pull something like this unless he had a very good reason.
We all know that Steve is a great member of the CSS community. Look at his threads, for example "We're all friends on CSS". It's evident that he loves this forum and all of the posters on it, to ban him from something he cares about so much is just plain mean. He really loves us, and he's my favorite CSS member as well as one of my close friends. F He's a huge contributor to CSS and he's friends with all of us. Sure, he steps on a few toes once in a while, but really. Who doesnt? =\

And yeah, I've noticed that some of the things he posts (his opinions) don't really fly with you guys. But like I said before, we all disagree, and to hate someone for his own beliefs and opinions is inherently stupid. Especially in this day and age, we should all try our best to coexist peacefully despite our conflicting ideals. But honestly, you guys are big boys. Don't take it out on poor Steve just because he's got different ideas that you don't agree with.

Yeah, maybe you guys have some sort of beef with him, or he doesn't like certain posters, but we can't ALL get along, can we? You get 7,000+ members of a forum and there's bound to be disagreements down the road. All you can do is ignore it, just as it happens in real life. We've all been in Steve's position before, because we can't all agree. It's part of life, and removing Steve for this admittedly natural aspect of life (and the internet) doesn't make sense.

Sure, he grilled out a few members, but you don't know the other side of the story, maybe he had a bad day or something else is going on and he took out on this other guy. Please, please give him another chance! We all screw up, and everyone has their bad days.

The guy's got talent too, you've seen his renders and I'm sure you can agree (except maybe Dom, he's got renders that aren't even on the same level!). Whether you guys like him or not, you've got to agree that he's got awesome drawing talent. He's a good guy just like all of us, and I'm sure he feels bad about his mis-step.

Have a heart, guys. And bring back Steve Neill. Please?

I don't mind if people disagree or whatnot, it's your opinion after all and it's your right to believe so. How was 2o6 kicking Steve? That's 2o6's opinion of Steve and likely why 2o6 doesn't agree with the petition. I fail to see how what 2o6 said constitutes as heavy-handed words.

That said, re-reading the OP, I fail to see how outing a troll in and of itself could possibly lead to a third strike; there's likely more to whatever went on, but that's a matter between Steve and the mod team and I don't quite feel that any of us are in any position to step in and interfere.

He, unlike so many of us, is such a great contributor to this forum. How can you just kick out a brother like him from the CSS brotherhood?? Its like killing a member of your family!

No im certainly NOT saying that we should become like them but this lack of tolerance towards Steve is appalling! Its not like he's embezzling money from others on CSS, or giving death threats to people or anything, is he?? Who among us hasn't had a bad day??

It will definitely be different without Steve and while I do not know the particulars, I do think it's a shame we will not be seeing him. Steve pisses me off most of the time, but I like his fire. That said, as much as we want to believe this is a "family", at the end of the day we are all just words on a screen and there are other screens to put words on. Kramer say hi to Steve for me.

A member told some lies, I found him out, and went about outing him as a liar in a rather childish way. Foolish remarks were made against this member, for which I apologise.

If anyone wants to know the full story then PM me, i'm not gonna embarras the member again, though he did bring it on himself.

I went about it the wrong way as I said. I just got fed up of being taken as a mug by this member.

I'm gonna ban myself.. i'll log on and check PMs, but I won't post for a while till i've thought about what i've done and cooled off.

I think the ban on Steve should be lifted as well, especially since he has so many people asking for his return. I don't quite know how this works but personally i would have appreciated if someone, a moderator or administrator, said something either prior or after the thread was deleted and Steve banned so the rest of us would know exactly what happened and why. It would also be more democratic if the views of the majority of CSS where taken into consideration in regards to a member, in this case Steve Neil. Now just like Swizzle said there where many times when i could not stand Steve and we were not exactly "best friends" but i would not want him banned, at least not without hearing reason why.

To be dead honest I could not stand the guy, but in saying that he did seem to really love this place and he does have quite a following. He must have really rubbed the moderators wrong a few times for this to happen, so I don't question their right or reason for the ban. He can always just sign back up as that Vel Satis guy who used to post here LOL. He would get banned like I change my boxers, and always came back with a new username! He stole my trademark Hornbag name once too!!!

EDIT: Found out what actually happened. Doesn't paint the same picture people are preaching here. I think before you all go asking for him back ask what he did. Not cool.
