Default In the US we would have charged them with making terrorist threats...
Yes! There is a difference between collective bargaining and extortion.

I agree it is unacceptable. I hope a trial will come from this but I doubt it.

However, I also think that the US has 0 (zero) moral authority to tell other countries how to behave in this situation given your past track record.

Our record isn't perfect, but zero moral authority? Hyperbole is no basis for rational thinking.

When did morals come in to a discussion about people threatening to blow something up?

edit: I just look morals up in the dictionary, STFU!

Past track record of not having a lot of **** blow up across the country, and not having people use violence as a means of legal bargaining?

I suspect dannubis is alluding to the blowing up of **** and using violence as a means of bargaining in other people's countries.

Locking up people on an island and throwing away the key is not something that is done by a state that claims to embrace an independent legal system.

They're not our people; none of our rights need to apply to them

There's no slippery slope.

WTF ???

i asked if they would be thrown in jail with our without a trial. Reading comprehension 101.
Which BTW was tactless nor even close to being correct so I thought it was just tongue in cheek. I'm sorry to find it was not.

Can we ignore Dannubis as a retard and move onto more interesting areas of discussion? For instance, where are the police in instances like this or when the bossnappings happen?
Calling people (who disagree with you and tell you to mind your own ****ing business) retards without even adressing the point (Oerdin did) are exactely the kind of retorics is expect from the likes of you.

Go suck on your moms tits some more and come back when you have grown up.

Your point was mind numbingly stupid and irrelevent. It only served to pollute an interesting thread.

What do you expect? Somebody posts a fairly incredible abrogation of responsibility by the French judicial system and dannubis comes out with an argument to indicate that no criticism coming from any citizen of a nation with arguably flawed judicial precedents in the last few years on a wholly distinct subject can be accepted as legitimate.

Calling him a moron is the most productive thing we can do to him. His post was so blatantly ridiculous that no more reasoned response is worthwhile.
