Default Gaming - do you still do it?
I haven't played a game since February. I keep thinking I want to, but I just don't bother. I have a bunch of games I never even opened.

I played a lot of LOTRO a year or two ago. Nothing much since.

I still do it. However, fewer and fewer games bring me joy and satisfaction.

I only play Civ IV these days, but am looking to cut that down through the same method as JM.

Unless I ended up with someone like Ali*, in which case my gaming time could easily quadruple. My best mate has managed this and I'm very jealous. Very few hot women play games, except on Wii.

* like, like - not with! Stop laughing, and leave me alone.

Nowadays, I get more into the quick online games. Think tower defense and the like.

Yes. Nowadays it's Heroes of Might and MAgic III, but I still play civ, col, and paradox's games occasionally.

I just read the first post. That UFC demo was pretty fun. The game looks sweet. Is it out yet?

Civ 2 was great. It held me all the way up to the release of Civ IV. Haven't really played Civ 2 since they got Civ IV MP worked out.

Now that I have a wife and a job that involves some travel I have no time.

Lurker and I played quite a bit, so perhaps once you have a settled position you will have more time.

have a game of civ 2 every so often and play a bit of mount & blade too. i don't think it would add up to more than 4-5 hours a week.

All the time, recently got the Orange Box from Steam, was 10€. Great game, HL2. And Portal, aswell. If a bit short.

Question about Steam. I installed it to my laptop, which is not my best computer for gaming. My brother mailed me a new computer a few days later, and I'm wondering.

To get Steam on the new computer, do I have to sign up a second time? Or can I just sign in using same userpass on the new computer and redownload?

Okay, nice. So far I've only bought X-COM, which was really cheap. But I wanted to be sure before I bought anything more recent (and therefore more expensive).

I especially liked Portal and want to get a copy on PC. The others will be Fallout 3 and Civ4, both primarily for modding.

PC still is the place to be for game modders.

I play CIV (BtS) fairly often (3x/week?). My wife plays too. There has been a fair amount of hotseat play of late.

I followed the opposite track Az did, probably because really captivating computer games didn't come out until PCs did.

I was very bookish when I was a kid, read all kinds of books running from pulp fiction and scifi-fantasy to the classics, and all kinds of nonfiction. When I went to college, I would always end up with a few extra textbooks that had nothing to do with my courseload, just because the subjects looked interesting.

That mostly went away with the dawning of the era of great computer games. It's so much more interesting to be part of the story instead of just an observer.

And the colors are so pretty.

This summer I'll be studying for the bar. After that, a legal career. Probably not much time to do even that limited gaming.
That's never stopped Ming!

I still play games. Mostly Civ with various over games inbetween.
Sometimes I feel that I am wasting too much time playing games but this is the best form of entertainment, I can't help it.
