Abraham Lincoln - saved the country that so many of us Americans love today and revived our country's striving toward ideal of human equality. First he actually failed to prevent the war, and secondly even GWB could not have failed to win against the South with the overwhelming resources available to the North. |

Too bad. If some dude down the street wants you to give him a dollare and you don't want to, so he blows up your house, that's ok? You should have given him the dollar.
We don't owe anyone anything. Period, end of discussion. Some country getting all pissy because we don't give them things is a little stupid, Moby. |

The USA didn't think it was really happening. It was of such magnitude, and was so maniacal, that we couldn't believe it. ![]() They knew it was happening, it was just politically expedient to pretend it wasn't. Why do you think the US bends over backwards to help Israel!? Guilt! ![]() All the more reason to show FDR is not deserving of 'Greatest President'. ![]() |

Coolidge. 1) The ignorance: Coolidge ran for one term, in 1924. 2) The mendacity: There were no polls measuring presidential approval ratings when he left office in 1929; they were first conducted by George Gallup in the 1930s. 3) The only reasonable conclusion: If you really do have a history degree, both your alma mater and history majors everywhere should hang their heads in shame. |
