Default We Need To Remember These Days
I feel like I need a beer, and that Obama has a touch of Truman.

Oh yes, in the great pizzaria of time we all get a slice of history and ours has an unexpected anchovy. :bleh:
Very poetic

We live in interesting times. Not as interesting as some other times, thankfully.

I'll probably remember it vaguely and pretty fondly, actually, because I'm still fairly young, mostly healthy, and happy.

The saying, I believe, is that a recession is when your neighbor loses his job and a depression is when you lose yours. So far, for me, this is but a recession. I still have a good job, as does the wife, and we're doing great. So, empathy for those who are not so fortunate aside, life is good.

Assuming we come out of all this, these are historic times.
The worst economy since the Great Depression. Jobs being cut and home foreclosures staggering.
Terrorists willing to do anything to punish anyone they don't see in the mirror.
Iran and North Korea, playing their nuke talk game.
The first Black president in the U.S.

Someday, your grandchildren will study about these times. How does that make you feel?
If you have to try to remember things like that you should feel old.

I hope, like in the last Great Depression, there will be a rise of fascist parties to national prominence. I can't wait to join one.
