Hmm... looks more like a bunch of foot longs lined up in a row. Maybe they should say it's a mile of sandwiches long?

How is Iran even close to a third world country? As for the sandwich going to waste, I was of the impression that everybody in the crowd was going to get a piece. I wouldn't be surprised if every last bit got eaten. |

They are just having some fun before the US invades, bless em. But really, the US would never invade IRAN. It is a much bigger country than Iraq and with a much more capable army. Not to mention that they control the Straights of Hormuz which sees 40% of the worlds oil passing through it daily. Also, it would send Hezbollah and Syria into Israel and Iraqi Shia's would rise up in Iraq causing huge problems for the US. We don't even have enough manpower for Afghanistan, let alone Iran. Hopefully our next president can find a peaceful and diplomatic solution. |

LOL. We have the manpower for Afghanistan, it just was never used. There was maybe 40,000 there tops. Now I think there is about 10? |

I disagree...if we started a full scale war with them...they wouldn't last very long. Also, Israel can definitely hold their own. Obviously your not up on the latest news: "More troops needed quickly in Afghanistan, general says" http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/asiapc...afghan.troops/ |

Please, don't fall into the trap of Hubris. It still mentions nothing of full scale war or anything...it only mentions that one general wants to put more troops back in the area. The manpower is there, they just aren't sending it and your article pretty much says the same. |

You do realize the majority of troops are in Iraq? We reduced our troop levels severely in Afghanistan due to GB wanted to go to Iraq. Iraq may have calmed down for the moment, but at anytime the Shia's can rise up and cause us huge issues. Just today, 10's of thousands of Shia's under the Mehdi army marched on Baghdad protesting the US occupation and referendums. Worst of all, we now may have to go into talks with the Taliban because we cant win in Afghanistan. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worl...h-Taliban.html Even Brigadier Mark Carleton-Smith said that there must be a compromise with the Taliban. "The departing commander of British forces in Afghanistan says he believes the Taliban will never be defeated. " http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/new...cle4887927.ece Now, with the country of IRAN being situated between Iraq to the west and Afghanistan to the East our soldiers would be directly in harms way. You would have soldiers from IRAN flooding Iraq and Afghanistan. It would be a strategic nightmare for the US. If it was the US vs IRAN alone it wouldn't be as big of an issue, But the US against the entire middle east would be a nightmare. |
