Good to see that you lack any serious retort to more revelations on McCain's flawed character Slowwy!

Keep up the good work.

Who cares? The reported conversation took place 34 years ago. This is as silly as trying to link then-8-year-old Barack Obama to Ayre's terrorists activities.

Nah, these can't be taken too seriously. It's like the boat thing with Kerry. It just doesn't matter that much. They served honorably and that's it. Both went to wars and didn't dodge them. End of story.

You're not trying to argue that "only" $500,000/year is somehow 'middle class', are you? Particularly when that's an order of magnitude larger than the average and median household incomes?

I mean, granted, it's nothing like the compensation investment bankers got in the halcyon days of 1H 2008...

I just did in my last post. Perhaps you should have quoted a protion of the article that wasn't complete drivel (if any of it qualifies) if you wanted people to spend time taking it seriously.

Mostly just a pattern of his incompetency at what ever he does, being privileged and whatnot. Womanizing. That's about it.

If you had actually read the article, you would know that he would have been thrown out of the navel academy a number of times if his father had not been a 4-star general. There are other examples in the article If you had read the article, you would have know that his father was a four star Admiral. Actually, seeing how horrible your little snipit was they probably did say General.

What, you think his father being an Admiral is news?

In McCain's case the privilege is not money, it is power through inherited connections. Except all the stories about him getting garunteed a spot at the Academy are false, as you will note your own article simply assumes it is so. THe USS Hunt story is just stupid, driving the ship is just as much a part of being a JO as learning the boilers, and as common sense would tell you not all the JOs lear the boilers at the same time (who would be driving?). OMFG MCCAIN HAD A GOOD TIME ON HIS OFF HOURS!!! Really?

Do I need to lecture this site on the USNA admissions procedures yet again?

You have been takin in by a shoddy hit piece. Move on.

The article's silly.

That said, I still don't get how anyone can claim USD 500,000/year is somehow middle class.

Wow, after reading that shamefull spin about the Forrestal fire, anyone taking this article seriously at any level is a complete idiot. That's where I started laughing at it.

There is no minor point of to critisize him on, there is NO point to critisize him on there. There are close to 5000 people on a combat operating career, unless you find yourself by immediate circumstances in a place to initially respond ir are the designated first responders (there are always fire crews ready and waiting on deck during flight evolutions) you get the hell out of the way. More specifically, you go to your muster location to be accounted for (for pilots, where might you guess that would be?) so that the DCA knows exactly where his human assets are and wait for them to ask for your help for a coordinated effort. 5K people rushing to the deck doesn't help anyone.

I hope those details above from a former Navy damage control locker officer help you understand just what complete tripe the article is.
