whats this you bought a printer cartridge...... blah blah moan moan [rofl]
![]() is the printer set to auto and do you use refills instead on new cartridges ? I honestly don't think the paper style would make much difference after all you can develop a picture on mat and gloss paper and it wouldn't make a difference apart from the obvious mat or gloss finish. have you played with the printer ICM's and associated one with photoshop ?. |

For real calibration you need to buy a monitor calibration device. I don't know how much they cost in the U.K. but I have a Pantone Huey Pro. It was $129 US. You can calibrate multiple monitors with it and its easy to do.
Then use a proofing tool (I think PS has this) after calibrating the monitor. You should be able to download your printer's ICC profile and use a proofing program to display how it will come out of the printer. Also make sure that you are using Adobe RGB as your default colour space on Photoshop. |
