Hey UK Onions...
I was just wondering... I'm always religiously following the speed limit when my Road Angel barks "Average Speed Monitoring Ahead!"... So do most other drivers as well but I still always get the occasional car shooting by as if they didn't care (despite all signs indicating the speed monitoring). Are these things actually working? If yes, why would anyone with common sense then still go 70 in a monitored 50 zone?? ![]() |

You can usually notice which ones are switched on at night.
The ones that have a noticeable red light for the infrared are the ones that are on. Ones that aren't however I can't guarantee they're switched off. Either way, just do a JC. Pass one camera, pull up on the hard shoulder for 10 minutes, do 120mph the rest of the way. [rofl] |

Hey UK Onions... When the M6 was being re-surfaced last year, they put the average speed camera gantries up. From what a friend of mine told me, who's uncle is part of the enforcement team involved in it, they were issueing hundreds of speeding fines a day. People would slow down while going under the gantry, then race away till they got to the next, and so on. ![]() |
