All the names you need. Ninja and Rambo both seemed like viable choices..

Ok, dont call him Terminator then . As a useless tidbit of information, i'm surrounded by dog smell.. 4 of 6 apartments on my floor have dogs, i know one of them is called Musti... and they all smell. I think all dogs come with smell..

awww, wasn't that the name the Jerk (Steve Martin) gave his dog in the movie the Jerk?

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if Mad Max's dog had a name? I don't think it did.

Congrats Dis. After reading about your last dog I'm sure you will be good for each other.

Emotionally it was a little sooner than I wanted a dog so soon after having to put my old dog to sleep. But I'll take him. He seems to be a good dog from what I've heard so far. Not sure how big he'll get though. I'm not a big fan of giant dogs. It has been several weeks hasn't it? I would never suggest "right away" as some people do (you need to grieve your loss) but I think you're ready now.

As for a name. Not my department.

Had a lot of dogs in my family growing up.
Best name: Dammit.

"Get over here, Dammit."
"Be quiet, Dammit."
"Get off the couch, Dammit."
...plus the classic: "Dammit, stop licking my girlfriend..."

Dis can only name his dog one thing:

Dat.

Once you get a cow, you can name her d'Udder.
Dis, Dat & d'Udder -- now, there's a trio!

The dog used in the film, named simply "Dog", was obtained from a local dog pound and trained to perform in the film. Because the sound of the engines upset him (and in one incident, caused him to relieve himself in the car), he was fitted with special earplugs. After filming was complete, he was adopted by one of the camera operators. Hey! What about Whizzer?

One-syllable dog names sound too abrupt, IMO. How about Dissy?
