Mercator, I think we're slamming PETA for being PETA. At least, I am. With all the problems humans face around the world, they reserve their outrage for crap like this. This's rather inconsequential as a case of cruelty to animals; at least when they're protesting the inhumanity of farm conditions they have a real point. An inept be-nice-to-animals video is no big deal.

This's rather inconsequential as a case of cruelty to animals (...) But a case of cruelty to animals nonetheless... And judging by their blog post on this their level of outrage is pretty limited. And they seem to expect a reaction from Hamas about as much as Slowwhand does.

I guess PETA just contacted the media to get some attention to this/themselves, then the media get some juicy quotes and spice it up a little by using verbs like "slam". And then you all take the opportunity to point and laugh at PETA for frothing at the mouth as usual. Except they're not.

I'm not seriously upset with them. More... irritated. In the same way that I'm irritated about bus drivers who won't drive faster than 20 ****ing miles an hour for three ****ing miles, even when there's absolutely no ****ing traffic.
