I am a big fan of alternative, or revisionist history, and I drool when I come upon a new version that fills in some holes in my knowledge. I was doing a search on HJR-192--the piece of legislation that went with the removal of gold from circulation in 1933. I found this extraordinary series of web pages at biblebelievers.org.au that deal with common law, here:
http://www.biblebelievers.org.au/cmlaw1.htm Links to subsequent pages are at the bottom of this page. I found the information I was looking for on p. 8 of this series. This is for people who want to understand why our money is not really money. Also in this same search, I discovered something that I never knew before, and is somewhat bizzare. If you pull out your checkbook, notice that your name is written in all caps. Also, the little line underneath where your signature goes has really fine microprint that says 'authorized signature'. I couldn't see it with an ordinary magnifying glass, so I found my jeweler's loupe and sure enough, there it was. Just another piece of evidence that when I write a personal check, my signature establishes joinder with my strawman. I suppose if you really want to avoid this link to your strawman, you might think about paying certain bills with postal money orders. I consider this microprint to be a dirty slimy little trick of the banksters. Hatha |

I consider this microprint to be a dirty slimy little trick of the banksters. Prior to the addition of the MP I recall adding my own lines of microprint to a check or two on the theory that what was good for the goose stood as well for the gander. This little trick has no value since the original checks are no longer returned to the issuer. Come to think of it, this might be why they chose to return a copy only. |
