Well, when they changed the name to AXE in South Africa, they had a great advertising campaign going on the radio (summer 2002). They told short every-day stories with as many occurences of the word AXE as possible, like "How to axe a girl out on a date? 'Axe-cuse me, miss, ...'". I know itīs cheap, but it was hilarious. Me and my friends often laugh today when digging up those ads. Those were the days...
In Germany itīs also called axe, and it has a good reputation. My girlfriend likes it, but just as a deo, not an eau de toilet. Axe Alaska is my favourite, followed by Axe One Click. They are good for everyday use but should of course not be used as a substitution for regular showering. ![]() |

I used axe up until two or three years ago. Now if I spray something it's just a light touch of either Davidoff or Aqua di Gio (or whatever else I get as a Christmas or birthday present next time).
But I always use deodorant (Mitchum unscented or store brand if they don't have that). Originally posted by Doddler He must have been cheap OH SNAP ![]() |
