While that is definitely true, My experience is that there are more Americans with very little knowledge of things outside their country than what you would find in most other western countries. Its the somewhat insular viewpoint. I actually don't blame the people so much. Watch the Canadian or British news and compare the international content with that you get on the American network news. that's because nothing noteworthy happens in their boring crime free countries. ![]() |

when I was a kid it was the USSR.
