Within the first week of their appointment? Tsk.. I think this is more telling of the state of Swedish media and the climate of public debate than of Swedish politicians. Somebody apparently have their minds firmly set on trying to compromise in every possible way this travesty that is a non-Social Democratic government. "Yeah, when those stupid voters don't know what's good for them, we'll show them, one way or another!" Yeah, because the media hasn't harassed socdem politicians? ![]() |

This is indicative of the extreme bias of your climate of public debate. Anything that doesn't conform to the precious Social Democratic way of looking at things has to be run through the grinder and presented in the worst possible light. This new government is clearly an aberration and must be confronted by any means necessary. It's just not natural for Sweden to have Social Democrats on the sidelines, seems to be the unspoken mantra of your leading media outlets. I can only conclude you're crazy, not following our media, or both. |

That´ll give you the kind of screwed up numbers you got... ![]() |

I can divide it with daily or hourly income if I want, the point was comparison with other countries. But you´re still wrong. According to Article 39, section 4 of the Croatian Radio and Television Act of 2001 the license fee is 1,5% of your average net salary the past year. http://www.hrt.hr/hrt/zakon010302_eng.html |

Within a week of their appointment? AFAIK no socdem minister had that kind of skeletons in the closet upon taking up office. But that´s beside the point, the point is that when the transgressions occured the newspapers were after the ministers in question like a pack of wolves. Mona sahlin was force to resign because she´d used her government credit card for buying various small stuff like a Toblerone bar. She lost the chairman seat of the SAP and the PM seat because of this. http://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tobleroneaff%C3%A4ren And Laila Freivalds was forced to resign twice! The first time because of a apartment deal and the second because of the tsunami disaster. etc, etc... |

But he didn't resign, and there was no media wolfpack hunting him. |
