The world seriously needs a good Vampire flick to help us get over the shock of sparkly emo pussies.

Daybreakers wasn't bad I thought.

For shame, it was a fairly decent movie.

yeah, in that nod and a wink kinda way. I loved how every time Willem Dafoe appeared on screen it was through a cloud of smoke. It was certainly better than Aaaaaaaaaaah Zombies, which was a great concept but lacked funding and good writing.

I wish someone would do the Lestat books properly.

In what way? Have our standards really fallen that low?

I love twilight. Every time they release a new one I get laid.

On a more serious note, a quality vampire movie needs to be made before vampires forever become sparkly little twats who don't die in the sun and fulfill the abusive romantic dreams of unattractive emo teens who have a shot at hooking up with a hot guy who is also emotionally dedicated to her.

An original take and it's campy ness. It made fun of itself and wasn't overly serious. Is The Living Dead not in it's own way greatness? I am not saying this is The Living Dead, but it is of the same cloth and while not a AAA title, it is certainly a solid B movie. It is not highbrow, but it was relatively solid formula lowbrow, which is just fine for the B genre.

I have determined the reason that girls are so in to this version of the vampire. It is because the vampire changes it's very nature for his love of said girl. Think about that. A generation of girls have the perfect romantic dream of finding a guy who will deny his very being in order to be with her. Not that every generation since the 70's hasn't thought that anyway, but still.

It is a sad dichotomy. Guys want their girls to stay the same way, but they change, and girls have a laundry list of improvements for us from the get go. [rofl]

I dunno exactly, it was just a fairly enjoyable movie. The acting was pretty good, film quality was good, and it was a new take on the whole vampire mythology.

Ok I watched Daybreakers since it was mentioned here... Saw the actors list.. Ethan Hawk and William Dafoe.. Thought it would be good because 2 good actors... WOW what a heaping pile of ****. HORRIBLE from start to finish. Not one PART was enjoyable.... Well actually there was one part... Seeing Ethan Hawk and William Dafoe (2 actors I respected) burn in that movie gave me some sense of satisfaction... Those two dicks should suffer... It is clear they put their talent and dignity aside and cashed the check
