Default New bag for work
Etsy comes up trumps again.

Guatemalan leather, fully lined. Not cheap, but half the price of anything you can buy in the stores here, and substantially better quality.

Going to be very upset when its raining, - don't want to ruin the leather! [rofl]

I use a liquor store bag. They are durable and without holes so you can puke into them if need be.

All you need now is an Indiana Jones hat and a whip.

Chris, it's fine apart from the gold plated fittings - chrome or preferably stainless steel bould be more masculine - better yet, titanium...

This is what I use for college and work
http://www.marksandspencer.com/Autog.../dp/B003U1RGNU

Only been a messenger bag user for about 6 months, used ruck sacks all my life before that (even during the "record bag" trend back in the mid 80's at school)

I don't think I could use what Chris has though, I prefer easier open straps/latches. Also the compartments look a bit small but its only a picture so it might be bigger than it looks, otherwise it does look like quality make.

The metal is actually silver colour, it's just the lighting.

I have one of these. It's waterproof, which is all that matters to me.

Lazerbase, please try really really hard not to make some asinine comment about what is actually a perfectly normal laptop receptacle.

I actually have a laptop bag from the same make (basically what my new bag replaced). Will still use it when I cycle to work in crappy weather I think.
