Hey guys.

I picked up a ZTE BLADE mobile phone in the UK and have installed Jellyfish Android 2.2 on the phone.

I am using my Canadian sim card - (Rogers, Canada) as I study at university in Canada and am in the UK for the next 3 weeks visiting family.

I am concerned about roaming charges, I have disabled data and data roaming in "Mobile network settings" (they are both unchecked)

However, in the "Status" menu it states:

Network: Vodafone United Kingdom

Mobile network type: EDGE

Service state: In service

Roaming: Roaming

Am I going to get charged for data roaming in the uk?? how the hell can I disable all roaming once and for all, I just want the phone to use wifi (which is enabled) and not "roam" at all.

I use Widgetsoid to turn data on and off, it does so by renaming the APN entries. Modify them manually? Have you got the data symbol displayed in the notification area?

no i haven't i just have the wifi symbol, vibrate symbol, and the signal bar with an "R"

Disable syncing just to be on the safe side. Settings > Accounts and Sync > uncheck all.
