Default Can Someone Please Settle This....
ok so right now i'm having a huge debate with a group of buddies and i want more perspectives on the topic.

ok so here's the question: Goku vs The Avengers, who would win?

stipulations: Goku can only go up to super saiyan 1, no more. and he can't use spirit bomb because that move is just too broken.

Discuss!

personally i'm leaning towards Goku, his countless hours of training is just too overwhelming for even all of the avengers combined. as much as i love marvel, i'm still gonna give this win to Goku. gg avengers.

Since Goku has to be limited in the first place, it's obvious he wins.

Sorry for the short reply.

The Avengers.

Simply put: The Hulk. Nobody can beat the Hulk. This is proven. Those that do beat the Hulk, are only able to slow him down through psychic or magical means (of which the Hulk eventually overtakes them). As he gets angrier, his regeneration, his strength, and his speed increase tenfold. He's one of those pesky Marvel characters with absolute "infinite potential", and is widely considered the most powerful character in the Marvel universe.

And I suppose I shouldn't count out the other Avengers. As inferior as they are.

EDIT: And yes, the Hulk was at one point an Avenger. He's even in the new Avengers cartoon with the punk rock opening.

well Goku also has unlimited potential and honestly the only avenger past or prpesent that MAYBE could beat him is Thor but its pretty damn hard to beat a God, oh yeah and Hulk was one of the original avengers

This argument only works when Goku can't transform. Pretty sure if the Earth was destroyed, the Hulk wouldn't be able to breathe in space.

You mean to tell me none of you have thought of this????

Thor!

The Viking God of Thunder!

Against some monkey from outer space with a superman-like origin and is based off some chinese legend????

Sure the likes of Captain America, Iron Man, Hawkeye, Vision, Black Panther, Scarlet Witch, Wonder-Man, Black Widow, Hercules, Giant-Man, and Wasp(Just to name some of the more well known and lasting members in the history of this legendary Marvel Comics team) could be taken down by Goku but your just gonna brush off the weilder of Mjolnir???? Son of Odin, the Viking All-Father????

For sooth! You miscreants!

And Crad that new cartoon is pretty good! Is there an online link to watch the episodes for free? I've only seen the 1st 4 episodes so far!

Even with Hulk's and Thor's power, they don't have enough power to blow up the planet with one blast. Goku, even at SS1, has that power.

I didn't realize this thread was still surviving... well my turn to shed some more light on this topic.

After reading all of the new posts I would still have to agree with the earlier posts that Goku, hands down, will win this fight. He just has too much training and experience under his belt to lose to the Avengers who need all of them to save earth's problems while Goku can take down enemies who strive to conquer the entire universe (i.e Frieza) all by himself. What Avenger with possibly the exception of Thor, considering he is a God after all, can say that they have trained as long or as hard as Goku. Think about it, he's died several times and was training even in the after life and on top of that we all saw that in Dragon Ball GT that he gets turned into a kid meaning TWO full lifetimes worth of training and experience. I love Marvel as much as the next guy but unless Galactus suddenly decides to become an honorary member of the Avengers, this one is just too one-sided.
