Default Google....for shame.
Anybody else notice the new "bingified" google homepage?

It looks nice enough, sure...but where is the "classic" option?
If I wanted an artsy, high res background...I would've put added one myself.

They changed their search results page, then they changed the home page.

Let's not mention Google Buzz.

I don't know what you are talking about? Both google.ca and .com look exactly the same as they always have for me. Blank white, no ads, just some options for video/images/maps at the corner and the usual business solution etc stuff on the bottom.

What's the problem?

I didn't notice the "Change background image" button at the bottom left until today though. Is that what you are referring to?

If you use GMAIL, it keeps you logged in for other things.

This morning google defaulted to a very bing-esque wallpaper, with no option to remove it. You could only change to "white" as posted above.
Looks like they got it sorted out, though.

Plus using google.com/ig is really good. I have a nice custom page with useful things I like to use.

Sad, really, that some people don't see why others are annoyed when multi-national companies make wholesale changes to preferences without consultation or an 'opt out' option!

If you don't like the background image then remove it and quit moaning!

Some people really are pathetic!

Don't get me wrong, I don't really give a damn - it's not that good for searches!
Besides, defaults to a NZ Firefox page here.

You can clearly see, even from my image, in the bottom left-hand corner.
