Default Looking for a Great Dane?
A couple in Jarabacoa have to move back to the states and want to sell their 1.5 y.o. Great Dane "Blacky." He's currently in obedience school in Santo Domingo.

If you want more info PM me and I'll get you their phone number.

Not to hi-jack but I know of a litter in Canada (Parkhill ON) of 10 puppies - 7 males/3 females, born July29.
Last years were all black - this year s/b the same.

I'll be seeing them next week.

I know the breeder - she is excellent

Closer to Clandeboye and Lucan.

Grand Bend is just 15 miles or so.

I'll be buying one of those puppies next week. ( Esposa permitting)

If you know Lucan, then you know the Donnelly's.......... the Black Donnelly's..... way worse than the TV version.

The Black Donnellys: Canada's Tragic Roustabouts — Preface — Crime Library on truTV.com

I forget, but I think they buried 10 of them in one coffin -- after the neighbours chopped them up (by hand)

Slaughter extraordinaire............. the original "Bad Boys"

I contacted Cobraboy and called the people. They have decided to keep the dog due to change of circumstances. If anyone knows of any Great Dane puppies/breeders here could they please let me know.

No pero you can teach it to be bi-lingual. You know? Habla Spanglish?

HEHEHE....

Hope you get one. If I can ever get Missy to stand for a male maybe I will have a batch one of these days.

I'll teach it -- do you want it to say the "s"'s or not ?

I may breed this dog in a year or two.... I'll need a female.

TT - know any good females ??

I'm pretty serious here... this will be a well bred male (black I hope).

When will he be ready? A year or so?

I'm back in Canada now and will be going this week to see/pick the puppy at 2 weeks old.
As i said before, I know and trust the breeder. I'll get the pedigree.

Hopefully, it'll be an October flight.
Born last weekend of July - so 10-11 weeks old for the trip.

Males being men start having sex early - around 9 months. Missy appears to be very picky lol, so unless he is a pretty special chap she wont look at him. I am talking to someone about a female atm, but price keeps going up! Will let you know if I get her.

No Great Danes are cheap. Missy was born on Tysons first birthday so he had sex at 10 months as females are pregnant for 63-65 days. The average price is around US$1000 depending on pedigree. To be honest character is more important unless you want to show him. They are amazing animals but be warned they have a short life span as have tiny hearts so although exercise is important you must not over exercise them. Nor over feed them as puts more pressure on the heart. You also need to train them well or they will take over. Be prepared for lots of drool and they fart better, louder and smellier than any other breed.

I hear Matilda. Thats why I want to bring the dog on Ocober then we will be there until May.
If you want a strong dog - try a Cane Corso, WOW I worked on that.

Yes, $1,000 will be about right I expect.
These ones are in the 'backwoods' of Ontario, Canada -- way cheaper than the USA...
We'll see.

As I said, there are 10 --- I am #3 on the list
