it is easy to make dill pickles. i know the recipe we use back home... but, alas, no pickle cucumber in DR, no horseradish root, no entire dill sticks, no cherry leaves.
We've kept the brine from a dill pickle jar and used it to pickle slices of regular pepinos.
Works fine. Tastes kosher even, after a week.

I'll stick with the bread and butter pickles I buy in Jumbo. Yum!

I hear you! that's what I like too,bread and butter pickles, Mt Olive brand. When I
go to the states I buy a few jars to bring back with me.
