Actually, Theresa, Golo said that she would come 3rd at best so he didn't actually predict what happened exactly. However, I must be honest about this and say that I did feel that she would get far but I was a little skeptical about her getting the crown and this was due to what happened with Ruth last year. On another note I did feel bad for Miss Canada when she slipped but then I again I was surprised she made that far! Another surprise was the fact that Brazil didn't make it to the top five....wow.

Bueno, I definitely want to congratulate Amelia Vega from the buttom of my heart and wish her the best with what whatever she decides to do with her future!

The way I see it no matter who wins or looses there will always be someone with something negative to say. In my opinion you can rake the whole DR for a Miss Universe Contestant and according to Golo she would still be miles away from any other participant. It's unbelievable!!! Can we just congratulate the poor girl and leave all our opinions aside?? Must we always be so danm critical? Golo, no matter what you say it is only your opinion but the funny thing is you speak as if you were the law of the land. If I didn't know any better by reading your posts I would definitely be under the impression that your last name was GOD. Lets face it....I had South Africa and Brazil 1 and 2. I cant understand Brazil being out, even to this date. She was by miles a much better candidate than Amelia. South Africa was a smart choice. Venezuela was a good selection, but it was political. This was a message to Chavez to screw himself after he did not come up with the funds for Miss venezuela. She did not even have the ticket to fly to Panama.

Amelia Vega is a professional contestant, but has no talent whatsoever. She is merely a music student and even after this, she still has the barrio attitude of wanting to become a singer, something where she will fail miserably. She has no voice to sing and few, if any beauty queens ever make it singing. I remember this black Miss America who made it singing and acting, but she is now a footnote in history.

Amelia got lucky with the question she was asked. This question was planted. She had practiced this question about her grandmother until the earth became green. She knew it was a tear jerker and she managed to fool the crowd. She is just like any Dominican political candidate. Amelia is plastic all over and she is not the sweetheart everyone at the contest made her to be. The woman did not even shed a tear. She is just a pro at this. But aside from that, no talent except a super body and beauty.

When she won the Dominican pageant, she pulled the same trick. The committee planted the question for her to win, and she was so cognizant that the questions would come that she stated before her answer "Oh my god, what an easy question". I also know that she was coached with a computer program which takes thousands of questions and provides at most ten answers that will fit the target. She also planted the fire and water question to the Montenegro girl, but this girl being more down to earth, got caught like a stupid jerk. All she had to do was say something about "wanting to be water because water is the liquid that gives us life"...that simple. But Amelia knew, as coached, that to screw the other girls, just feed them bull****. She did and won!!

In spite of SARS and Toronto*s epidemic, I even think Miss Canada was by far way better than Amelia. In fact, Canadas girl is a corporate executive who is both smart and pretty.

I sure hope Amelia doesnt screw up before the year is over. I smell scandal someday. This girl has an appetite for publicity an is too self-centered. She will do just about anything to win. I did not like the way she flauntet the silk red cape with her bathing suit, as if she was fighting a bull. She was just like any Dominican chopa, who tries to be too flashy. Donald trump has himself another extra girlfriend. That easy!!

But in the meantime, congratulations Amelia, you fooled everybody, but me.
