Default Worth switching from Sprint to AT&T?
My 2yr agreement is up on Oct 3rd, but I'm not too sure I want to stay with sprint. I COULD get the palm pre, but I wouldn't mind having an iphone either.

What do you guys think? AT&T prices are a bit meh, but the iphone has a crazy amount of apps! Sprint prices are pretty good, but the pre is the only good phone that sprint currently carries.

I made the same change that you are proposing... While I think AT&T customer service sucks, the iPhone makes it all worth it.

Go to the Sprint store and tell them you're switching to AT&T. If you have a plan worth retaining, they will probably offer you a discount on your monthly bill to entice you to stay.

Thanks for the info, I'm currently paying 80-85 a month for 1000 minutes, free nights, unlimited text, unlimited net. For around the same price with AT&T, I'd only get 450 minutes and 5000 nights. But I'm sure I'd rack up some roll over minutes too..

You could probably swing the same thing by calling AT&T and saying you are on sprint, and what can they do for you to convince you to switch.

iPhone = worth the costs involved.

I would also take into consideration your location. Ask around and see who has AT&T to see how their coverage is in your area. Being in the Bay Area I get 3G coverage almost everywhere that I go so it is not an issue with me but in more remote areas, it can be. With that said, I have had some issues with AT&T that were quite frustrating in the past but they seem to have been sorted now but as long as the iPhone is exclusive to them, they will keep me as a customer.

I switched from Sprint to AT&T. Biggest mistake ever.
The 3G coverage in Michigan is a joke compared to sprint/verizon. Their plans are much more expensive. Simply everything v. 900minutes unlimited data/text = $139/m.

The only thing that keeps me on AT&T is the blackberry bold (which is my next purchase) and the fact if you call them after you have a dropped call and compare them to nextel they give you a $25 credit.

Damn, that's crazy

My friend said the coverage here is great, and he never has any problems. Now all I have to do is try to get a good deal out of AT&T....

Porting your phone number is quite painless.
My number was ported within 15 minutes.

You were supposed to infer. I should have known that you would not though, I forgot about the DeVry thing. [surrender]

I dropped out of college, and I figured out it was a joke. I guess college dropouts are smarter than devry graduates.
