Andy Griffith, the star of "Matlock" and "The Andy Griffith Show," died on Friday morning at his home in North Carolina. Ron Howard, who played his son in "The Andy Griffith Show," tweeted, "Andy Griffith His pursuit of excellence and the joy he took in creating served generations & shaped my life I'm forever grateful RIP Andy."
