I am thinking of getting one of these, (Samsung UE40d6100) but I am a little worried that the undefeatable backlight dimming might be annoying.. apparently you can set it to +2 and it isnt too bad but has anyone got experience with this? Is it really annoying or not?

Also is there any way of disabling it?

From reviews I've read all they mention is the same thing, upping the shadow level to 2 to minimize dimming but it would annoy me as heck anyway.

Get a Sony HX803, far superior. [thumbup]

I got a sony 40ex503 recently based on the good reviews and it is quite good but I find that people skin tones look too green (I have adjusted all available options). Also the colours are a bit washed out.
