gotopless.org They have a point here. Topless women will be walking around downtown Phoenix on Sunday as part of what's being billed as a protest against gender inequality. "Go Topless Day" apparently exists on an international level, in an effort to make laws about showing woman-boobs and man-boobs the same. If guys can walk down the street "topless," then Phoenix "Go Topless Day" organizer Jenna Duffy tells New Times women should be able to do it too. Either that, or dudes have to cover up all the time when they're in public, she says. "Breasts are such an object of sex and desire," Duffy says. "And were saying, 'Hey, they're just breasts.'" Indeed. There are rules to participating in the event, since the whole purpose to the event is that women in many places can not walk around topless. Duffy explains that women have to wear tape covering their entire nipples -- areola included -- to keep things legal during the stroll around Phoenix. Men are encouraged to participate too, and should either tape up their nipples or wear bikini tops. If you'd rather keep everything clothed, that's cool too. When asked why walking around topless was the chosen method of protest, Duffy explained that it's "just one of those small things that contributes toward equality." The legality of female breast-showing varies across the United States -- ladies can go full-breast in New York City! -- and Phoenix police Sergeant Trent Crump tells New Times the local protest will be legal as long as the ladies keep their nipples and areolas completely covered. Duffy says she has about 10 women and 10 men lined up so far for the protest -- approximately 40 breasts -- for this weekend's stroll. If you're into that kind of thing, it starts at 10 a.m. Sunday at Steele Indian School Park, and will continue down Central Avenue. Wtf? This chick is retarded. At first I thought guys would check it out just cause there will be boobs, but I can't imagine these girls are very feminin and good looking. Why do girls want to be more like guys? We aren't equal and should not and will not be. |

It's really not a big deal, imo. A lot of european cultures accept it, topless women on TV commercials, topless beaches, etc. She's trying to change the laws, and what we consider socially acceptable. I think with all the crap going on in the world today, if some women want to go topless, I say let them and leave them alone. It's their right. |

I like to think of men and woman as being equally different. Bottomless too, depending. |

I concur. But I suggest that there are both men and woman that it is best that they remain covered in normal clothes and also banned from wearing spadix to keep the eyeball flame outs and brains from exploding. They are usually the ones that you see dogs and cats trying to bury all of the time! Edit: Also 76883d1318553287-plus-size-sports-riding-bra-this_thread_is_worthless_without_pics.gif ![]() |

I can see where being more comfortable with sexuality is a good thing like in European countries. However, we are physically different no matter what. I don't see how if a man can walk around top less and I can't that I am somehow unequal, I'm just different. I don't think there should be a law about it, i just think breasts are used for feeding babies and if my husband gets some joy from them great, but that is it. Not something I feel the need to show the world or that I am somehow less of a person because I can't/don't.

One way might be to leave your shirt on, while you discuss the real facts and issues. Would you agree? |

In practice, that would not work. As Balthasar Gracian once said, the truth is usually seen, rarely heard. White people usually conflate the act of 'speaking' with the act of 'doing', so it came as no surprise that you conflated 'discussion' with 'protest'. So if i want to protest something, i beetter not try and discuss it at the same time? Are you for real? |

Topless women will be walking around downtown Phoenix on Sunday as part of what's being billed as a protest against gender inequality. Equality of Opportunity is not the same as Equality. My guess is, guys are more turned on by women's breasts than women are turned on by men's chests. the women's breast is closer to being a sexual organ. flashing your sexual organs in public can be interpreted as a come-on - if you're a woman. i get to see Moobs at the swimming pool all the time, and i can say, for sure - it's not the same. i'd get banned for posting a pic of a rasty pair of moobs. |
