Default Is Floyd Corkins this era's John Brown?
Saw this. Decided not to pull an Asher.

However, it will make a great talking point for years to come.

Why not? It comports with Ashers world view.

Asher doesn't believe in guns.

Asher is gay.

Ergo Gays should not believe in or be trusted to have guns. Presumably the story demonstrates this, assuming Mr. Corkins is gay.

If only this got more coverage. On the one hand, it involves insane brutality against a conservative faction, but on the other, there were guns involved. There's an angle for both kinds of partisan hack to work with here. As it is, it's just a few conservatives kvetching about hateful liberals, and I guess soon they'll be moaning about the liberal media coverup too. Come on, you lazy Democrat bastards, get snippy about the amusing irony of a conservative cause (nearly) falling victim to gun violence! Tie this in to the Batman and Sikh temple shootings somehow! I know you have it in you to be that douchy, so get cracking.

John Brown wouldn't have gone out so ignominiously, and I suspect Corkins is going to be universally reviled whereas John Brown had ample financial and material support from Industrial and abolitionist interests, and when Virginia executed him church bells all across the North rang in mourning. Slight difference.

I was actually considering this for a comparison of coverage, but decided against it.

Still, Newsbusters already did it, and it seems such a shame to waste it...

...so the network that agressively edited to Zimmerman tape and tied the "Joker" to he Tea Party gave this the least amount of time and detail?

I am shocked! Shocked!
