As usual, the Opening Ceremonies were a grand spectacle of creativity and ambitiousness.

My only criticism is how many athletes in the parade of nations walk with their phones held out trying to capture the event on video. They are going to have videos of other athletes making videos of other athletes. The entire group of athletes should simply hire a photographer to do all that work so they can enjoy the moment.

But it's enjoyable watching young people experiencing the moment in exuberance.

Well old queen Lizzie never cracked a smile during the whole opening ceremony thing so i guess the only thing she's got to look forward to is death then there was Mittins putting his two bits worth into wondering if they could pull it all off so he got their attention right away but i will abide by OP's wishes cause this sounds like a PC kind of thread so just disregard my opening comments.

I cannot find any video of the broadcast of the opening ceremonies. Only pixilated versions. Nothing on the official 2012 site either. Only pics.

I saw the opening ceremonies. I noticed they did not show the pyramid lights much. Of course they were concentrating on the field.
