Voula Papachristou has been expelled from the Greek Olympic Team for a racist twitter comment, according to the Associated Press.
The website Keep Talking Greece translated the offensive tweet by Papachristou (@papaxristoutj): “With so many Africans in Greece… At least the West Nile mosquitoes will eat home made food!!!” Shes a supporter of the Golden Dawn party too.. ![]() |

"I would like to express my heartfelt apologies for the unfortunate and tasteless joke I published on my personal Twitter account.
I am very sorry and ashamed for the negative responses I triggered, since I never wanted to offend anyone, or to encroach human rights. My dream is connected to the Olympic Games and I could not possibly participate if I did not respect their values. Therefore, I could never believe in discrimination between human beings and races. I would like to apologize to all my friends and fellow athletes, who I may have insulted or shamed, the National Team, as well as the people and companies who support my athletic career. Finally, I would like to apologize to my coach and my family." |

Encroach on human rights? Oh please.
It's amazing that you can get kicked off of an Olympic team for a harmless joke. THAT is the joke. I am not even sure how it is offensive, exactly . . . because it has the word 'African' in it? Try this: "With so many Floridians being in Georgia this time of year, at least the everglades mosquitoes will eat some home made food." Anyone offended by that? So basically, the word "African" in any joke can get you kicked out of the Olympics. Lord have mercy on all of us. Now that I analyze it, the joke isn't even funny. Home made food doesn't make sense. Anyway. This is overblown BS. Poor chick. |

That's and easy one. The IMF and the EMU told them to kick her off the team. They are all technocrats and statists and if it wasn't for the shenanigans that they back, Greece wouldn't field and olympic team this year. |

Encroach on human rights? Oh please. Come to think of it, isn't the ban itself racist, because it implies that Africans are of one race? |
