Default just "did" my whole property for the first time ever
been reclaiming it from nature for 2 years now.

started mowing and weed wacking at 6 am until just now (3:42 cst). looks like a golf course. whole shebang that i worked on is about 6 acres, rest we're leaving heavy timber.

incredible waste of gas, time, etc. but i wanted to do it just once. going to sit outside tonight, look at it, and drink canadian windsor.

have a good weekend all.

Sweet! I've got 45 acres to deal with but when it all looks nice the view can be rewarding. I get a lot of satisfaction from mowing. Gives me meditation time.

hope you have some type of night vision mick, if you don't, try and get something, I picked some up a year ago, it's incredible, you absolutely can't hide from it at night, even without a Moon, I can tell you the sex of an individual several hundred feet away

i've been trying to take care of my 2 acres with no power tools. 6 acres would take me a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time.

i got a scythe. dang, when they are sharp, they are sharp. i cut myself sharpening it.

i wear heavy boots and try not to whack my foot with the thing when i'm cutting long-grass with it.

sounds like a Mission Accomplished moment. if you got it all weed whacked down that should reduce your fire danger. that's worth gas & time for sure.

Thanks, Liberty. It's Virginia. That pic was the back 40. Here's the front yard with two five acre horse fields. If you look closely you can see one of the hayburners. Don't know how to make the pics larger.
