Default Christopher Hitchens has died.
http://news.yahoo.com/christopher-hi...052041896.html

Hitchens death was announced in a statement from Conde Nast, publisher of Vanity Fair magazine. The statement says he died Thursday night at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston of pneumonia, a complication of his esophageal cancer
A most engaged, prolific and public intellectual who enjoyed his drink (enough to "to kill or stun the average mule") and cigarettes, he announced in June 2010 that he was being treated for cancer of the esophagus and cancelled a tour for his memoir "Hitch-22."
Hitchens, a frequent television commentator and a contributor to Vanity Fair, Slate and other publications, had become a popular author in 2007 thanks to "God is Not Great," a manifesto for athiests that defied a recent trend of religious works. Cancer humbled, but not mellow him. Even after his diagnosis, his columns appeared weekly, savaging the royal family or reveling in the death of Osama bin Laden.

Genuinely sad to hear this, the Atheist movement has lost one of it's most powerful and eloquent champions.

Goodbye Hitch! He was probably one of the most well-written and well-spoken individuals on this planet.

It is to my eternal shame that I will never face death with the strength of character or will that Hitchens did.

well I don't want to sound like a douche, but he has willingly chosen to not accept God in his live, so I as a believer have to accept that he has been lost which is what it makes it more sad... but for those of you who don't believe it doesn't matter what I believe.. simply stating my opinion.

makes you think doesn't it??? doesn't matter if you disagree with me.. if you're so sure of what you believe then my opinion shouldn't matter in the first place and your reaction is that of a fifth grader..

Some people just need their own personal life long santa clause to keep them in line. Thinking you get to unwrap presents after death is religions biggest scam. What a fail proof for religion. The only thing in your future after death Metusion is worms. Don't worry. You will be dead. It won't matter.
