Maybe the dude shouldn't have let his assistant coach buddy rape little boys in the shower.

Leadership is taking responsibility for the crimes and misdemeanors of your subordinates when it is fair and reasonable to have expected you to know what they were doing. And as the boss, you are ultimately responsible for the conduct and performance of the organization. Paterno got what he deserved and is likely deserving of even more punitive actions.

Now, let's hope that Obama is held to similar standard when it is determined that Holder committed perjury and is an accessory to murder of hundreds, perhaps even thousands of innocents because of the reprehensible actions of operation "fast & furious."

The university was more worried about their reputation than protecting these kids. They have no excuse for not reporting this to police. No conscience.

Are they going to change the name from "Happy Valley" to "Pedo Valley"?

Back when it was first discovered, anyone from the GA witness to JoePa on up could have blown the whistle, said "We run a squeaky clean university here and we are rooting out the evil," and looked like heros. No bad reflection on Penn State because they brought the guy to justice immediatly. Instead, they were afraid they would be tainted by association and they covered it up. Now look how tainted they are.

This whole story has had me completely depressed for days. One famous phrase keeps ringing in my ears, over and over:
