What effect will snow have on the Occupy Protests?!

DENVER -- Wall Street protesters camped in downtown Denver are piling blankets and sleeping bags near bags of charcoal for a small grill. They're preparing for the first snowstorm of the season expected to hit the city Wednesday.

Protesters insist the wintry weather won't stop them.

Protesters have been getting briefings on winter camping, and they say they have a plan to place to check for signs of hypothermia as the storm hits. They've also gotten shovels and plan to take turns keeping the sidewalks clear of snow.

Still, protesters are watching the skies nervously. Some protesters say they may go inside for momentary warm-ups and that they worry some protesters may leave.

Denver — Two Occupy Wall Street protesters sleeping through a Denver snowstorm were hospitalized overnight for Hypothermia.

Protesters say they took two people to Denver Health Medical Center because they showed signs of Hypothermia. Protesters say they tried to set up tents as temperatures dropped Tuesday night, but police officers forced them to take the tents down in Denver's Civic Center Park.

The Hypothermia victims were not identified by the protesters, but organizers said they will be OK. About 30 people slept overnight, bundled up on the ground under tarps. Protesters took turns shoveling the sidewalk and checking on others for signs of Hypothermia.

Protesters say about 50 sympathizers stopped by overnight to drop off blankets, gloves and hot chocolate.
Denver was expecting more snow through Wednesday afternoon.

Fuck those Bolsheviks. I hope they all freeze to death. Good riddance.

I find that a layer of snow on the ground makes everything look cleaner.

Many of the Occupy Wall Street protesters have been sleeping in Zuccotti Park since the protests began six weeks ago. But as the weather grows colder, sleeping outdoors will become less practical. Each year, people freeze to death on the streets of New York City. Some Occupy Wall Street organizers have been searching for a winter residence, a person closely connected with the core de facto leadership of Occupy Wall Street said.

"We're going to find a place where people can sleep at night, store their stuff. We'll maintain a continuous presence in the park but you can't ask people to put their lives in danger. It's Occupy Wall Street, not Freeze to Death In Zuccotti Park," he said.
This could throw a wrench into the plans of city officials, some of whom were counting on the winter weather to end the protest. On October 10th, for example, the mayor predicted the protest would end when the snow started falling.

The bigger picture is someone is at least getting off the couch, out of the house, outside of their comfort zone, and doing something to identify that there is a problem with the system. This creates awareness, and learning. Canary in the coal mine.

Otherwise known as a societal phenomena, or paradigm shift.

This heightened awareness inevitably flows back the source (CB's, FED etc...).

The interesting part is pretty much the whole world is at it, and it doesn't get cold everywhere, and it's not going to get any better.

That the whole world is doing it doesn't make it interesting - it makes it suspect.

Having any association to, or even be seen on the street near means you are part of the Anti-Christ's plans joboo.

Its best to sit back, post from a warm foreign country, and let both sides trample you under foot...50265_263510054624_1616583_q.jpg

Yes, I've always subscribed to the ol mantra when life gets tough, and your hemorrhoids start getting you down, don't aggravate them , just glaze over, settle back , and let them root into the couch. Ahhhhh.

Carbon, even Israeli's are getting pissed, and protesting. It's costs too damn much to live, and everything you buy is increasingly shit, and breaks ,and even the shit quality is costing more. Nobody is getting paid more, people are losing their jobs, their houses, and their lives. Like Celente says when people have nothing left to lose, they lose it.

This reality is quickly becoming the new status quo.

There nothing suspicious about it other than an inherently flawed system consuming itself.

Money has debt built in upon it's creation to a totally private corporation, and this is the main currency of which all others are based.

Totally fucked from square one. Doomed from the beginning.

Then there's the human morality factor getting trashed to the point people are now celebrating bombing the shit out of other countries, and murdering their leaders, (and citizens) like it's entertainment.

Beerinkol 10-27-2011 03:21 AM

Busily I watch CNN (no disturbance to hemorrhoid tissues yet), where the thinly veiled (and age old) question seems to be how best a committee of 12 superpeople can make enough cuts to support European expansionism.
