That would be crazy. Wonder how much power it would crank out out of Dodge's plants at 8.7L.
Would this 8.7L be LA based still, or HEMI based? Would be KILLER if it was a HEMI!!!! Sales would double right there with that emblem on the thing. ![]() 7L Hemi / 8 cylinders * 10 cylinders is 8.75L. Maybe HEMI based!? I'd sh*t some bricks if it was. And came with FIATS multiair technology :-). The third gen and especially 4th gen are my all time favorite super cars. It is nice how cheap they are too, used that is. The 8.4L from Hennessy already had 2 N/A kits. One for 678hp and another for 725hp. Should have 650~675hp with 8.7L, and hopefully over 600ft-lb torque. My only concern is how much this is going to have to be tamed, partially due to government regulation with TC and SB and the other part is from FIAT if they have any requirements out of the vehicle to be tammer for an increased sales target. |

Imagine a Dodge viper V10 that turns into a 4 pot for city driving. |

The viper will always have a v10 like the vette will always be a front engine v8. To Reactor, I have seen programming chips that can turn cylinders off for better economy. Though not sure if it is a on-demand type thing like some of the HEMIs currently use. |

Holy F[surrender]
![]() http://www.torquenews.com/106/2013-d...k-87-liter-v10 The Chrysler Group has done a masterful job of keeping the 2013 Dodge Viper under wraps, with just a few spyshots and some teaser releases about upcoming technology but according to the Mopar aficionados at Allpar.com, when the 2013 Dodge Viper hits the streets next year it could pack a new 8.7 liter version of the V10 engine. Its probably nothing but Rumor, but if it were true. ![]() Then again, not sure why I'm excited since I can't afford one. ![]() |

sounds awesome, It doesn't appologize, or try to be civil about anything. Its a serious ride, maybe not the fastest but very serious all the same. Having ridden in a this Viper at Road America, you can see the CRAZY grip level's he gets with slicks and the ACR aero package. And it REALLY is strong. The insane braking forces that car can muster are mind numbing. Considering that car is nothing more than a stock Viper SRT-10 with a wing/splitter and slicks. Thats it. Nothing else and its holding 1.4G cornering grip. http://vimeo.com/25411932 |

You should thank this guy that it's coming back at all.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergio_Marchionne and I also don't think he's gonna let them stuff an 8.7l V10 in the new one. |
