Default Anyone ever have research published?
I have been working on some research off and on for quite some time and was just wondering if anyone ever had their work published. If so, how do you go about something like that? I suppose I could "research" it, but it's much easier to ask. Besides, my real effort belongs to my own work :P

Since it's not part of tertiary study, you'd possibly be best contacting some of the trade periodicals that deal in the subject and, if you think it worthwhile, possibly a patent lawyer.

I have! Well, I am in the process...

I was contacted by someone after I presented my thesis during a fair. They reviewed my report and asked for additional bits of data. Once I get this to them they are going to send it to a few journals for publication.

What is the reason you want to do this?

Sounds weird, but I enjoy it doing research.

If you believe that your research is novel enough for publication, try contacting a faculty member at a local university (especially your alma mater). S/he will probably have contacts somewhere, or at least put you in contact with the right people.
