Default Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics
oh Canada!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 14 gold metals a record for us and history

wow that hockey game was close. I think the whole nation tuned in for this game. Crosby!!!

I watch sports here and there. I'm happy with what we did with speed skating (intense stuff!), figure skating, snow boarding, etc. We got metals in sports that we never got on the podium before. I enjoyed what our gold medal couple, Virtue and Moir, did with Ice Dancing.

....the closing ceremony tonight was excessively pro-Canadian and nationalistic. Afterall we are displaying to the world and not just to our own audiences. I am sure the rest of the foreign athletes and world were dissatisfied. Some of it was for the humor, but some was over the top. I tuned in after 45mins of the start, so maybe I missed the better bits?

I did enjoy the openning ceremony though. It was near flawless. Though we cover a large land mass, we really are a small nation population wise. Overall the performers we invited did a awesome job It would have been nice if Shania Twain performed during any part of the games. We haven't heard her sing for many many years.

Vancouver is the most multicultural city in Canada, maybe something was missing with regards to multiculturalism.

The Vancouver Olympic Games was a success Canada should be very proud for being a great host

I enjoyed the Vancouver Olympic games immensely! I think the city of Vancouver and the nation of Canada together did an incredibly good job of hosting the games. Now I want to move to Vancouver! There were some controversial calls in judging, but I was more bothered by the vitriol of nationalist pundits than by any of the judges' decisions. Overall it has been a wonderful 2+ weeks of awesome winter sports, and I wish the games could go on for another two weeks! Speed skating rulez!

I thought the opening ceremony was fantastic. Usually they are over the top but this one had real meaning and some wonderful moments.

I like all sports and watched as much as I could. I thought it was particularly good that one country didn't dominate the gold medals and they seemed to be more evenly spread.

I thought the Olympic Games were fabulous!! The time went by too fast!!
The Opening Ceremony was very grand and magestic! Vancouver did a great job! I adored all the scenery shots of the Vancouver area!! Very cool place!!
My favorite sports were the skating and the skiing! Virtue and Moir rocked in their performances on the ice!

It was good.

I tried to watch much as I could esp snowboarding! Shaun White was insane releasing the "tomahawk" in the half pipe.

Always been fascinated by the Olympics. This was a nice one.

Watched as much hockey as I could get. The final was a great game. A fair outcome. Wish the US would've won, BUT as a native Pittsburgher, can't complain that Sid Crosby scored the winner- he's Pittsburgh's son now. The big gold medal will make Fleury smile even bigger too.

The first ten minutes of the closing ceremony were wonderful -- funny, wry, and a good look at a national sense of humor. I liked the jumping snowboarders, a contrast to Beijing's rigid choreography. Great games, everyone gave their best efforts, lots of memorable performances on all surfaces. Thank you all, Canada.

My husband & I are Olympic junkies, theres still a couple of days worth on good ole Tivo that I haven't watched yet! Obviously there are going to be 'memorable' moments with the medal winners but I was impressed on how many athletes really stepped up & gave their best even though they didn't make the podium!
Canada did a wonderful job!
It's hard to remember already, that the start, they had very little snow!
