Not just another waterfall
My girlfriend and I went to a hot spring resort for the weekend and saw this really awesome waterfall. It is big, and I do mean big - not just in height, but also flow. Right now is the monsoon season here, so it was flowing even more than usual.
A side view showing the plunge pool and lower fall. The tree to the right is a maple completely festooned with epiphytic ferns and selaginella:

Here is a shot to give you some sense of scale - yes, that is a man standing behind it. Since the waterfall has undercut the rock face you are able to walk under the fall easily, although it is a wet journey!

The fall's name is Jion waterfall and is located between the towns of Amagase and Kusu in Oita Prefecture, Kyushu, Japan. Total height is 30 meters (just shy of a 100 feet) and the fall is composed of two sets of cascades of nearly identical height. Very impressive place!
