Is it not covered on your car insurance, just a thought I would learn from this and get the glass replaced,he may loose a no claim's bonus through a "no fault" claim and its not worth doing that for a 200 quid item and his own Naivety/ stupidity I don't leave anything in my car. |

This is why I'm just waiting for GPS to be built standard into a car. I don't have much trouble navigating without a map so I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. It would be nice sometimes, so I guess once it's standard when I get a new car next time then I wont have to worry about someone pinching it.

First place thieves look! And don't tell me it was one of these that attaches to the windscreen?? ![]() The idiots went straight for a plastic bag I had in the glovebox as it was full of different sorts of cables and they thought the GPS was in there ... mwahahahhaha I would have loved to see their faces when they checked it fully [rofl] They stole my sunglasses and broke the door, but's ok, all covered by the insurance ![]() |

I know this probably isnt possible since its a GPS unit but I thought Id ask anyway, is it possible for a TOMTOM to be tracked?
For example when they maybe update the software on the unit or connect it to the internet? It was stolen this afternoon when my car was broken into, I always put the tomtom under my seat out of view... They took the holder, cig adapter and the tomtom unit... Ive reported it to the police and they are coming to visit shortly (although I didnt think they did this ?) , told them the rock that they used to break in was still there... Sigh another £250 down the drain Is it possible to track it? Thanks! |

I always put the tomtom under my seat out of view... And don't tell me it was one of these that attaches to the windscreen?? Because the biggest clue that a car has a Sat-nav is the telltale suction mark on the windscreen. See a car with that, and a thieves first thought is to pan the window to check in the glovebox or under the seat. £250+ (in your case) easy money. ![]() |

Is it not covered on your car insurance, just a thought Typically, stuff that is attached to your car is covered by car insurance (stereo, GPS, speakers) and stuff that is NOT attached to your car (but in it) are covered by Homeowner's (CDs, sub-woofers, etc.) |
