Ye i can only get internet via the kpn network..so i pay +20 to use their network...No adsl2 support for me either. Telephone is included though.

But there's good news, my street has been selected for "fibre for farmers" (lol im not even a farmer)..so we get to test fibre internet out as long as we help digging for the cables[rofl]

My parents are on Chello classic. With all the hassle of getting Chello working, all those years ago, I won't bother figuring out where it's cheaper or better - they're not complaining, neither am I, neither is UPC.

But, so, erm, speed increase? First I've heard of it..?

Actually my wife hates picking up the phone and calling companies etc, - so I tend to do that. I can understand a fair amount of Dutch, - enough to follow basic conversations, - its just that speaking it is tricky.

I do have the details of a 1-to-1 Dutch teacher, whom I need to call next week to make an appointment. My problem though is that my work is often not 09:00 - 17:00 - so attending Dutch classes is not an option, as I would likely miss too many. 1-to-1 is a better (if more expensive) option, as my lessons can then be more flexible.

Back to the subject of Chello - we switched 2-3 years ago, mainly due to the price (chello at that time was nearly 50 euro per month for 8mb). We did not actually switch because of the higher speed. The other nice thing about ADSL, is that your speed is not affected by the number of other people in your area who have a connection. I've also had a LOT less downtime with Wanadoo / Orange, than I used to with Chello / UPC.
