Default food for thought
I like the little old lady joke. Maybe I should give it a try. I've got something for the cheaters. This morning I heard a minister say the reason people don't listen to their conscience when they are doing wrong is they don't like taking advice from strangers. I thought that was dead on the money. Most people without a standard don't know themselves well enough to hava a standard of living. So, your conscience doesn't exist or it is seldom heard from. In times of trouble, I wouldn't listen to someone's advice that I never hear from. Some food for thought.

It's thought provoking cause it's true!! In this day and age when people are all about them, it's no surprise! Man, old skool attitudes really are the way to go!! I'm not perfect, but I'm glad my parents..ahem 'showed' me right from wrong. That isn't happening much these days anymore.

I remember my parents told us growing up that a conscience develops over time but a good way to judge as we were getting older was if a situation came up and we had to pause to think about whether it was the right or wrong thing to do....then there is probably something wrong with it. That has stayed with me my entire life and it has saved me from a lot of trouble. If I had to pause and go hmmmm...I always knew that no I had better not go down that road.

Yeah, there is something about the old school way of doing things. Probably it has something to do the right thing never changes, only the your personal standard of whats right changes.

Old school was simple and succinct but effective. Heck, now you get into trouble for applying those 'techniques'!! The more selfish we become, the more brazen we become. I've heard about cases in law where theives break into a home and get injured and the owner of the home being successfully sued for negligence!! Not a good scene when a theif has more rights in your own house than you do!!

We just leave em lay in Texas. Grand Juries have never indicted anyone for protecting their homes where I live.

I would'nt recommend shooting one's cheating spouse and claiming they thought it was a burglar. That might not work out so well.

Stick to the ant hills.
