Default Heroes officially cancelled, Yatta!
http://www.tv.com/heroes-finally-fal...?tag=spfeats;0

Some of you will cry, some of you will jump for joy. But nothing will change this fact: Heroes has finally been canceled, says The Hollywood Reporter.

You've all heard the story before: Heroes burst onto the scene with critical praise and outer-space ratings, but began a sharp decline just before its Season 1 finale that seemed to last forever. Critics say poor writing and acting are what doomed the show, but Heroes simply failed to work after its infancy.

There's recently been talk of giving the show some closure with a made-for-TV movie, but that no longer appears to be in the cards. I'm sure someone will wrap things up with some awesome fan fiction, though. [UPDATE: Deadline Hollywood is reporting that a made-for-TV special is in the works, and an announcement will happen next week.]

And don't fret too hard, because primetime superheroes will still have a large presence on TV next season, in NBC's The Cape and ABC's No Ordinary Family—the latter of which sounds like it might actually be pretty good.

Until then, let's fill up the comments section with fond farewells, harsh good riddances, and "meh"s. If the following is correct; http://heroeswiki.com/Yatta!

is a Japanese short form for "yarimashita", which translates to "(I/We) did it!", but can also have meanings of "okay!", "it's done!", "ready!", or "all right!". Then im a little proud of the title

Im not really bothered by the news, even though i always watched it

Oh well Money money money, in a rich mans world

Heroes was excellent during the first half of series 1 then it just went to the dumps.

Dragged on with too much garbage, poor acting, whining characters. Ashame to see it go, but i will not miss it. They really should have had a progressive plotline and finished it instead of dragging it on.

Some of the best TV series are short and sweet, many others have tonnes of premise yet are cancelled way to soon ( firefly comes to mind ).

Will be good to see this wrapped up if they do a film, hopefully less whining and more power using.

I actually enjoyed the show, but it's good to see that it's finally coming to an end. Hopefully the made for TV special has a sweet ending.

I really loved the first episode, but after that it just seemed to go no-where and it was hard to enjoy the series for me. The first episode had me on the edge of my seat and I pretty much tuned into nothing else for a week, watching through season 1 in just a few days.

but the rest of it? Lost interest.

I will probably buy the series though. So I can have it when I want it.

I enjoyed the first season, but the second completely lost me. I'm slightly perplexed why anybody would jump for joy at its cancellation.

that show died for me the moment they made sylar neutral and on his way to being a good guy. You make this guy out to be satan for nearly half your season then he's buddy buddy? **** off nbc lol.

Same. When he stopped being chaotic evil I stopped caring. He was awesome.

best episodes for me is when Clair Bennett becomes a lesbian, man I'd love to see her in some "steamy rug munching action"

Aww I'm sad to see it go. Though I do agree with some of the criticism as I found some of the plot lines absolutely stupid and infuriating to watch. Oh well....next.

I watched it but yeh it wasn't that good.. All these heroes had such potential but all they did was whine and do nothing.. No awesome fights or anything..and then both peter and sylar got neutralized... [yawn]

In the last episode we've seen I hate it how Claire decided at the last minute mind you, to go up that ladder and fall to her doom only to not be dead and reveal herself on camera to the world. After all she has been through, she thinks that's an awesome idea. [rolleyes]

As with a lot of shows - great concept - stuffed up by poor direction and writing.
It's like the initial concept is sold to the network and then the writers don't know what to do next.
Flash Forward is another example of this, I fear.

I must admit I'm still pissed that Firefly was canned! [cursing][cursing][cursing][cursing][cursing][cursing][cursing] [cursing]!

I see they've cancelled Flash Forward too. I'm disappointed as I am really enjoying it.

I watch(ed) Heroes but I'm less concerned about that, although it would have been nice if it'd countinued.

It had a great beginning but the last episodes sensed a little downhill. So they will finish season 1 but no season 2? :/

I guess so, since it's nearly over. All I know is what I read in this article.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I loved it at first, but then I was like "ok, this is just getting boring/stupid" after the last few episodes. It's like they ran out of good material.

So will the show have an ending? I haven't watched it since ep 11-12 but I enjoyed the first 10 eps.
But i'm not gonna watch the next 10 if there won't be an ending anyway
