Some of you will cry, some of you will jump for joy. But nothing will change this fact: Heroes has finally been canceled, says The Hollywood Reporter. You've all heard the story before: Heroes burst onto the scene with critical praise and outer-space ratings, but began a sharp decline just before its Season 1 finale that seemed to last forever. Critics say poor writing and acting are what doomed the show, but Heroes simply failed to work after its infancy. There's recently been talk of giving the show some closure with a made-for-TV movie, but that no longer appears to be in the cards. I'm sure someone will wrap things up with some awesome fan fiction, though. [UPDATE: Deadline Hollywood is reporting that a made-for-TV special is in the works, and an announcement will happen next week.] And don't fret too hard, because primetime superheroes will still have a large presence on TV next season, in NBC's The Cape and ABC's No Ordinary Family—the latter of which sounds like it might actually be pretty good. Until then, let's fill up the comments section with fond farewells, harsh good riddances, and "meh"s. If the following is correct; http://heroeswiki.com/Yatta! is a Japanese short form for "yarimashita", which translates to "(I/We) did it!", but can also have meanings of "okay!", "it's done!", "ready!", or "all right!". Then im a little proud of the title Im not really bothered by the news, even though i always watched it ![]() Oh well Money money money, in a rich mans world |

Heroes was excellent during the first half of series 1 then it just went to the dumps.
Dragged on with too much garbage, poor acting, whining characters. Ashame to see it go, but i will not miss it. They really should have had a progressive plotline and finished it instead of dragging it on. Some of the best TV series are short and sweet, many others have tonnes of premise yet are cancelled way to soon ( firefly comes to mind ). Will be good to see this wrapped up if they do a film, hopefully less whining and more power using. |

I really loved the first episode, but after that it just seemed to go no-where and it was hard to enjoy the series for me. The first episode had me on the edge of my seat and I pretty much tuned into nothing else for a week, watching through season 1 in just a few days.
but the rest of it? Lost interest. I will probably buy the series though. So I can have it when I want it. |

As with a lot of shows - great concept - stuffed up by poor direction and writing.
It's like the initial concept is sold to the network and then the writers don't know what to do next. Flash Forward is another example of this, I fear. I must admit I'm still pissed that Firefly was canned! [cursing][cursing][cursing][cursing][cursing][cursing][cursing] [cursing]! |

It had a great beginning but the last episodes sensed a little downhill. So they will finish season 1 but no season 2? :/ |
